ASTM4140 is a standard specification for low-alloy steel, typically used in the oil and gas industry. It has a carbon content of 0.38-0.43%, a chromium content of 0.80-1.10%, and a molybdenum content of 0.15-0.25%. It has good strength, toughness, and wear resistance.
SCM440 is a Japanese standard for alloy steel, which is equivalent to ASTM4140. It has similar chemical composition and mechanical properties.
42CrMo is a Chinese standard for alloy steel, also equivalent to ASTM4140. It has a carbon content of 0.38-0.45%, a chromium content of 0.90-1.20%, and a molybdenum content of 0.15-0.25%. It has high strength, toughness, and hardenability.
